6 Jan 2005 -- Africa's representative in the soccer event of the 5th Deaflympic games 2005 currently going on in Australia this morning lost 8-0 to their counterpart from Italy in Melbourne. Before this game, authorities had declared Ghana losers for failing to appear in their opening match against U.S.A men and consequently awarded 3points 3 goals to U.S.A. The Ghanaian team had to leave in batches after having difficulties in securing visas for the team during which Hon. Rashid Bawah, Minister in-charge for youth and sports and Education had to intervene.
