Koforidua (E/R), May 5, GNA - The second national volleyball club championship will commence on May 13 to 16 this year at Donkorkrom.
Eight male volleyball teams from four regions of the country and five female volleyball teams from three regions will compete in the three day national volleyball club championship.
The championship is aimed at selecting a champion in both the male and female categories to represent the country in the West African club volleyball championship slated for the Ivory Coast this year.
The participating male teams are host, Court winners of Donkorkrom, the reigning Eastern Regional Volleyball champions and Okere United of Adukrom, runners up at the Eastern Regional volleyball league.
Others are, Scorpion Spikers of Sunyani and Ghana Sports Project team from Techiman, representing the Brong Ahafo Region, whiles, Supreme Fingers and Mighty Fingers would represent the Upper West Region.
The other teams making the male list are the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Immigration, all from the Greater Accra Region.
The female teams are made up of Scorpion Spikers of Sunyani and Ghana Sports Project from Techiman from the Brong Ahafo region, Supreme Fingers from Upper West Region, the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Air force both from the Greater Accra Region.
