Wahid Omar promise a surprise in Rio

Ghanaian bantamweight Boxer Abdul Wahid Omar will be in Rio for the Olympics. Abdul's qualification makes it 5 athletes so far the others are . Flings Owusu Agyepong 100m, Sean Safo Antwi 800m, Alex Amankwah 800m, Abdul Wahid Omar boxer and John Ampomah Javelin.

Speaking to yours truely, he said Allah is merciful and will cause a surprise in his life that Ghana would also benefit. The boxer with a lot of potential and talent lost at the third place finals of the Rio 2016 Olympic Qualifies for Boxing in Cameroun recently. He thought he qualified,but the results changed, now he has been declared as fully qualified for the up coming Olympic Games in Brazil.

President of the Ghana Boxing Federation Gideon Quartey believes another Ghanaian boxer will qualify and hope they will use the opportunity to prove a point that Ghana Boxing is alive, excerpt it is lacking financial support.
