Cape Coast Dec.14, GNA - Elmina Coconut Sharks on Monday defied the home support of Oguaa United to beat them 2-0 in their outstanding Division Two League match at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Sports stadium.
From the blast of the whistle the visitors showed their determination to carry the day by dominating the first half and scored the opener through their midfielder, Amoah Mensah in the 45th minute. On resumption of the second half, Oguaa United in an effort to please the home fans and redeem their image returned the attack and twice came close to scoring but their attackers messed up the chances that came their way.
The home team continued to pile pressure on their opponents but their hopes of drawing level were shattered when Sharks outside right, Kobina Okyere exploited a defensive blunder to increase his side's tally to 2-0 in the 85th minute.
