First-ever Inter-district Volley competition


Accra, Nov. 22, GNA - The first-ever Eastern Regional Inter-District volleyball tournament is scheduled for the Jackson Park in Koforidua next month.

A statement signed by Mr Charles Aryeh, Eastern Regional Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Council (NSC) said the tournament fixed for the third week of December, forms part of the end-of-year festivities of the region.

Subsequently, Mr Aryeh has called for a meeting with the various participating clubs on Friday at the Regional Secretariat to look at the rules governing the tournament.

Some of the clubs expected to compete are Akwatia volleyball club, Nsawam Volleyball Club, New Tafo Volleyball Club, Unity Volleyball Club of Koforidua, Akosombo Volleyball Club and New Abirem Volleyball club.
