Accra, Nov 18, GNA - The Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) under the auspices of the National Sports Council is to organise two separate championships for its junior and veteran players in Takoradi and Accra by the end of November, this year.
The Junior Championship is scheduled to take place at Takoradi and is opened to players in the Under 12 and Under 18 categories and above to 40 years. The veterans event is slated for Accra and is opened to players from 40 years and above. Both events would take place from the 25th to 27th November.
Mr Ignatius Elletey, General Secretary for the Association said the championships forms part of the Association's programme of activities lined up for this year and the forums are also to be used as a platform to select a national team.
Mr Elletey appealed to all Regional Badminton Associations interested in the championship to contact the Association's National Secretariat at the Accra Sports Stadium for registration. 18 Nov. 04
