Cape Coast Technical School emerge Zone one champions

Cape Coast, Nov. 17, GNA - Cape Coast Technical School emerged the Central Region Inter Schools and Colleges Zone One soccer champions when they beat Aggrey Memorial Zion Secondary School 1-0 in their semi-final match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Tuesday.

Aggrey Secondary School which has remained the zone 1 champions for the past nine years were shocked with an early goal scored by outside left, Philip Tawiah in the 15th minute.

The early goal unsettled the defending champions and their defence had to work over time to stop the aggressive attackers of Cape Coast Technical School from causing further havoc to their team.

Aggrey School parading players like Hadi Seidu, Albert Bosu, Eric Owusu, and Thomas Esson resumed the second half strongly and in the dying minutes, they kept their opponents vital area boiling with shots from all angles but try as they did, they could not find the net till full time.

In another semi-final match played at Adisadel College, Mfantsipim Secondary School also beat Asuansi Technical Institute 1-0 to become the Zone 2 champions.

Winneba Secondary School also beat Potsin Ahmadiyaa secondary school 1-0 to become the Zone 4 champions.
