Tema, Nov. 8, GNA - A total of 200 amateur and professional golfers have so far registered for the DHL Ghana Limited Open Golf Championship at the end of the registration for the competition on Saturday, November 6.
The two-day 36-Hole Scratch competition, which tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, November 13 forms part of activities marking the 20th anniversary celebration of the company.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Country Golf Club said at Tema on Monday that the number which is one of the highest in recent times attest to the importance that golfers attach to the competition and indicates their commitment towards the development of the sport.
He said the club would not relent on its efforts of developing the Golf Course and therefore called for more corporate support to make the venture succeed.
Among the participants to have registered are Samuel Adetola, Captain, J.K. Atsu, J.K. Kally and Sam Sowah, all of the Achimota Golf Club.
Dr E.O.T. Prempeh, Director, Chief Owusu Afriyie, Business Development Officer and Mr Samuel Dodoo, Zonal Commercial Manager all of DHL Ghana are expected to grace the occasion.
