Accra, Nov. 4, GNA - The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Accra Hearts of Oak has taken steps to maximise profits during the club's final group match against Cameroonian side Cotton Sports in the novelty CAF Confederation Cup scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, November 14.

Subsequently, the club has directed that issuing of complimentary cards would be restricted to officials of the National Sports Council (NSC), Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), the visiting team and a few authorized staff of the club's bankers assigned with special duties on the match day.

Hearts are one point adrift of Cotton Sports, group "B" leaders, and need to win next Sunday's encounter to book a ticket for a two-leg final with the winners in Group "A".

A statement issued in Accra on Thursday and signed by Ashford Tettey-Oku, Administrative Manager of the club, said: "No form of complementary card, apart from the NSC's Presidential Box card will be admitted at the gates on the match day."

It advised the media to apply for special accreditation at the club's secretariat not later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 11.

The statement said the move was to eliminate waste and to stabilize the ever-increasing debts, which has characterised the club's participation in international competitions over the past seven years.

It called on those affected by the new directives to understand the plight of the club and make the necessary adjustments.
