Rangers International have expressed surprise that their opponents in Saturday's Confederation Cup match, Ashanti Kotoko, have refused to disclose their itinerary to enable Rangers give them a proper reception on arrival in Enugu. Reacting to the development after Rangers Management meeting on Wednesday October 27, Rangers CEO, Mr. Davidson Owumi stated that by CAF statutes, Ashanti Kotoko are supposed to communicate to Rangers their travelling schedule to enable Rangers receive them.

Mr. Owumi said that all efforts to confirm from the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) about the arrival of the Ghanians proved abortive, adding that, Rangers Management has however decided to play the "big brother" stance to Ashanti Kotoko by giving them a befitting reception whenever they arrive Nigeria.

Rangers will on Saturday, October 30, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium host Ashanti Kotoko of Ghana in the last home match of the league series of the Confederation Cup.
