Donkorkrom, September 30, GNA - Okere United Way from Adukrom, defeated Super Rangers of Akim Swedru by three sets to two, in the first semi-final match, to qualify for the finals of the Eastern Regional Volleyball League.

Okere United dominated the first and second sets by 25 to 21, and 24 to 18, while the third and fourth sets was won by Super Rangers, 25 to 21 and 25 to 23 respectively.

The fifth set was won closely by Okere United, 15 -12, to book their qualification to the finals.

The second semi-final match between Court Winners of Donkorkrom and Unity of Koforidua, ended by two sets to one, in favour of Unity, but the match had to be called off by the referee due to darkness.

However, Unity failed to report on the court to continue the march the following day, and so Court Winners of Donkorkrom were declared the winners to face Okere United Ways of Adukrom at the finals.

Unity won the first set by 25 to 20, while Court Winners also won the second set by 25 to 20 to to level up.

Unity came back to win the third set by 26 to 24 in the tense match.

As at the time the match was called off, Court Winners were leading the fourth set 10 - 7.

The finals is slated for October 11 at Akwatia.
