Five players banned for today's league matches

Accra, Oct. 13, GNA - Five players of Premier League clubs have been banned from participating in this afternoon's 7th week matches for committing various disciplinary offences.

The players are Richard Ladzekpo of Sekondi Hasaacas, Felix Baffoe of Liberty Professionals and Obed Ansah of Kpando Heart of Lions. Ladzekpo, Baffoe, and Ansah were expelled in their respective sixth week matches for second cautionable offences.

According to the PLB, their respective clubs are to pay a fine of 200,000 cedis each.

The other players not qualified to play the 7th week matches are Solomon Adjei of Power FC and Richard Anderson of Real Sportive who have been banned for unsporting behaviour in three league matches.

Adjei was cautioned in the second, fourth and sixth week league matches while Anderson went into the records in the third, fifth and sixth week league matches.

Their clubs have also been advised to pay the fine of 200,000 cedis imposed on the players before the fixtures of the next match and that failure of the clubs shall forfeit the next league or FA match
