Sunyani (BA), Oct. 11, GNA - Dr. Olantunji Kolapo, the Nigerian High Commissioner, on Monday advised Nigerian citizens in the Brong Ahafo Region, to be good ambassadors to protect the image of their country.

The High Commissioner said Nigerians who engaged in anti-social activities were doing great disservice to the existing relationship between Ghana and Nigeria.

Dr. Kolapo, who gave the advice when he interacted with journalists during an official visit to Sunyani, said the Commission would cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to punish any Nigerian engaged in nefarious activities.

He entreated the media to be sensitive on issues they publish about Nigerians, saying, his office was always available for clarifications of issues.

Issues that bind the two countries together should be more highlighted rather than issues that divides them, he said. Dr. Kolapo urged Ghanaians to be tolerant with each other to ensure peaceful, free and fair Elections.

Nana Kwadwo Seinti, the Regional Minister met with the High Commissioner behind closed doors.

Dr. Kolapo also paid a courtesy call on Nana Bosoma Asor-Nkrawiri II Omanhene of Sunyani Traditional Area.

The Omanhene said a lot of Nigerians were living peacefully in the Municipality.

He urged the Nigerians not to meddle in local politics especially as the nation was approaching the December Presidential and Parliamentary polls.
