Sports News Aborted: De Gea move to Real Madrid this summer fails
SEP 1, 2015 LISTEN

David De Gea will continue to stay at Manchester United for a while, after the relevant documents to enable him complete his tranfer to Real Madrid failed to reach the LFP on time.

David de Gea will not play at Real Madrid - at least not at the start of the season. The contracts, which had been signed by the player, did not arrive at the LP headquarters on time to be processed so as it stands, Keylor Navas will continue at Real Madrid and De Gea with United.

The documents did not arrive on time and Spanish football expert Guillem Balague tweeted the following:

The documents did not arrive on time!!!!!! Presentation was ready. All agreed. But as it stands de Gea stays at MUFC!!

Real Madrid and Manchester United had earlier reached an agreement over David De Gea. The goalkeeper was supposed to join Real Madrid, before 12:00 am Spanish time on Tuesday. The agreed fee is in the region of 30-35 million euros.

The big question now is will Real Madrid complete th deal in January or wait to acquire his signature next summer without a fee when his contract expires at Manchester United.

However, there are reports that both Real Madrid and Manchester United have challenged LLP that the documents were received before the closing time, so there is interesting times ahead.

David De Gea was voted the best goalkeeper in the English Premier league last season, but he has become unstable following a bid from Real Madrid for his signature.

His coach Van Gaal has not included him in the 18-man squad for all the six competitive games this season for United.
