Accra, Sept. 27, GNA - Mr Kwadwo Baah Wiredu, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports will on Wednesday, September 29, inaugurate the National Sports Hall of Fame at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The inauguration will also witness the induction of 14 sports personalities who have distinguished themselves in various fields of sports into the Hall of Fame.
Mr Hamah Hamid Issaka, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the National Sports Council (NSC) in a statement copied to the GNA Sports said 193 other sport personalities who have contributed in the promotion and development of sports would also be presented with certificates at the ceremony.
According to Mr Hamid Issaka, members of the victorious Black Stars teams of 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982 winners of the Africa Cup of Nations and the Black Meteors team that won bronze medal in the 1992 Olympic games in Barcelona, Spain will be recognised and presented with certificates.
The PRO called on the sporting media as well as the general public to endeavour to attend the programme.
