Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan will cover the medical bills of ex-Liberty Professional coach Nii Noi Thompson, who is expected to undergo a surgery to correct slipped disc in his back.
The ex-Heart coach has been battling with the illness for the last two years at the Korle -Bu Teaching hospital
The Thompson family have been desperately trying to raise money for his treatment, but because of the huge amount of funds needed, it’s been tricky.
But the Ghana superstar has stepped in to stop Thompson’s plight, by pledging any money needed to help him.
The fabolous gesture from the Al Ain goal-machine is just one of the many benevolence that he’s shown to the needy over the years.
On Tuesday, he presented a cheque of $10,000 to the Cardio Center of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to mark the commencement of activities towards the 2015 Stars Soccer Fiesta which starts this weekend in Kumasi.
