Accra, Sept. 02, GNA - Attoh Quarshie Boxing Club has extended its lead in the Mortein Boxing League with four more points after the sixth nights bouts.
The club which had 16 points after the fifth night fights retained their lead with 20 points after the sixth night having won six fights that included two knock outs and four unanimous wins.
The Attoh Quarshie club has therefore now moved eight points ahead of their closest contenders, Believer Boxing Club and Bukom Boxing Club who are both tied at the second spot with 12 points apiece.
Panix Boxing and Fit Square Club follow on the league table at the fourth and fifth positions with ten and 11 points respectively whilst Black Panthers and Sagacious Boxing Clubs follow in that order with nine points apiece.
Wisdom Club, Will Power Club and Akotoku Academy occupy the last three places at the bottom of the table with seven, five and three points respectively.
The competition is expected to enter its sixth week this Saturday. Information gathered by the GNA Sports from the organisers indicate that with the rules of the league, a knockout attracts four points, a unanimous decision three points, a split verdict two pints and a draw one point.
