Sundowns have accepted an undisclosed amount for the permanent sale of Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila to Al Qadsia, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The South African club have finally accepted the bid from the Kuwaiti club to secure the services of the 22-year-old after initial back and forth.

Sumaila is currently in Ghana on holidays and will sign a permanent deal on his return to Kuwait.

This brings to an end the professional relationship between Rashid Sumaila and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The PSL club signed the Ghana defender in 2013 following an impressive loan stint at Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

But after a strong debut season with the Brazilians, Sumaila increasingly became a bit-part player for the side.

He was subsequently sent out on loan to Al Qadsia just on the heels of a loan return to Kotoko.

The defender impressed for Al Qadsia, helping them to success in the Emir Cup and also progress in the Asian camp warranting the club's interest to keep hold of him.
