Oblogo (GA), Aug. 30, GNA - Mamprobi "Thy Word" F/C lost 1-4 to Oblogo Nikwabs Babies in their fifth-week fixture of the Accra Metropolitan Football Association Colts league at Oblogo on Saturday. Ironically, it was the visitors who took a 25th-minute lead when Joshua Kotey completed a two-man move; but their joy was short-lived after Issah Gariba cancelled the goal for Nikwabs two minutes later. After the interval, Nikwabs mounted an early pressure, forcing the visitors to score an own goal in the 65th minute when a defender in an attempt to clear the ball in the penalty area, agonizingly misdirected it into his own net.
The home team made it three in the 75th minute from the foot of Issah Gariba when he capitalised on a defensive blunder while Michael Armah sealed the doom of the visitors in the 80th minute with a clinical finish.
At the under-12 and 14 levels played at the same venue, Nikwabs whacked Sowutuom Arsenals 5-1 and disposed of "Thy Word" F/C 2-1 respectively.
