Kumasi, Aug 29, GNA - The friendly international football match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Africa Sports of La Cote d'Ivoire to climax the Ghanaian-Ivorian Week celebrations at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday was rained off.
The match has been rescheduled for Monday, August 30. The downpour started just before 2 pm (1400 hours) and rendered the stadium waterlogged which necessitated the postponement of the match.
The match had been dubbed the match of vengeance following the 1-2 defeat suffered by Kotoko at the hands of Africa Sports in a friendly encounter at the same venue in March this year.
