Thomas Teye Partey waved goodbye to the Almeria fans after his final game against Valencia on Saturday.
Valencia fought back twice to earn a Champions League berth with a 3-2 away win that relegated Almeria on a dramatic final day of the Spanish league.
The 21-year-old midfielder will end a one-year loan spell with Almeria at the end of the season, featuring 31 times and scoring three goals.
And the defensive midfielder waved goodbye to the club's fans after the game, thanking them for their support throughout his stay with the club.
Teye Partey posted on his facebook wall:
"First of all, I thank God for this season even though we were not able to fulfil our wish."
"Thanks to the great family of Almeria, all the coaches, the players, employers for your great support and affection towards me, and the opportunity you have given me to show my qualities in this first division."
"The only thing I can say is thank you, thank you and thank you. I wish you good luck to the club @udalmeria to go back to first."
Teye Partey was acquired on loan from Atletico Madrid last Summer.
