Dunkwa United charged on two counts of misconduct

Dunkwa United have been charged on two counts in respect of their GN Bank Division One League match against Gold Stars played on May 10, 2015.

On or about the 29th minute of the match, Dunkwa United FC failed to control its supporters when they broke the lock of the gate to the inner perimeter and entered the inner perimeter without authorization and verbally attacked the technical bench of Gold Stars FC and attempted to physically assault them had the security personnel not prevented them resulting in a hold up of play all in violation of the GFA Regulations.

Dunkwa United FC has hereby been charged on a first count for a breach of Articles 56, 58, 59 and 66 of the GFA Disciplinary Code and Articles 35(1)(a), 35(2), 35(3)(c), 35(4) and 35(10) of the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match.

Also , immediately the match ended, Dunkwa United FC failed to control its supporters when they entered the inner perimeter without authorization and chase Farouk Adams, a player of Gold Stars and throw a stone to hit Adams Bannor, a player of Gold Stars FC who had to be rushed to the hospital and could have physically assaulted more persons had it not been for the efforts of the security personnel, Mr. Frank Mensah, the CEO of Dunkwa FC and one Mohammed Adamu all in violation of the GFA Regulations.

The Club has therefore charged on a second count for a breach of Articles 56, 58, 59 and 66 of the GFA Disciplinary Code and Articles 35(1)(a), 35(2), 35(3)(c), 35(4) and 35(10) of the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match.

Dunkwa United is required to submit their written Statement of Defence to the charge(s) on or before May 21, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA Secretariat or through email address to the Disciplinary Committee [email protected] failing which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without their Statement of Defence.

However, Should they choose Defence Options 3 (Personal Hearing) in your Statement of Defence, they will be expected to attend the Disciplinary Committee, Friday, May 22, 2015 at 4pm at the GFA Secretariat to answer to the charge(s), failure which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case in their absence.
