Friends Babies beat Citrus babies

Cape Coast, Aug.24, GNA - Friends Babies colts football club whipped their local rivals, Citrus Babies 4-0 in the second leg of their friendly soccer match at Cape Coast to avenge a first leg defeat. Citrus Babies won the first leg 5-0.

From the blast of the whistle, Friends Babies who were determined to seek a revenge, took absolute command of the game and banged in three rapid goals before the end of the first half.

Midfielder Peter Andoh set the tone for victory when he opened the score in the 10th minute, while centre half Jackson Ward and outside right, Akim Mensah scored a goal each to bring the half- time score to 3-0.

On resumption, Citrus Babies made two changes but that did not deter Friends Babies from slotting in yet another goal through right-winger Joseph Panyin to crown their sweet revenge.
