Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has returned to training with his Italian side Juventus after recovering from a knee injury that has kept him out of action for five months, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 26-year-old trained with the club for the first time since the injury on Sunday morning as they prepared for their Champions League second-leg clash against Real Madrid.

Asamoah trained with his team-mates who are delighted with his return after spending five months nursing the left knee injury.

He was expected to return to training with the group two weeks ago but was delayed because of the slow recovery process after training alone in the gym.

The Ghana international’s return to training with the group means he is fit to play in matches which has resulted in the decision to include him in the squad’s training.

Professor Ramon Cugat, a specialist who has already attended to other Juventus players in the past, observed the Ghanaian player and asked him to delay his return until he is fully fit.

He has assured the Ghanaian that he has made a full recovery with no complications.

Kwadwo Asamoah missed the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations because of the injury but the Black Stars reached the final of the tournament without him.

His presence will make coach Avram Grant’s even squad stronger ahead of the start of the qualifiers of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations next month.
