Ghana coach Avram Grant has identified America’s Major League Soccer (MLS) as a prime ground to source the best talent from Ghana.

It is understood that the former Chelsea manager plans to attend MLS games this season, thanks to the league's growing crop of Ghanaian players entering the fray.

Grant and video analyst Michael Otchere have already started their project and are already keeping a close eye on New York City's young midfielder Kwadwo Poku.

It has also been suggested that the former Israeli coach, who led Ghana to a second-place finish in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in February, will meet with Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, who has not accepted invitations to the national team since returning from last summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Among the number of Ghanaian players to grace the MLS include, Chicago Fire's David Accam, Montreal Impact's Dominic Oduro, Houston Dynamo's Kofi Sarkokie, D.C United's Kofi Opare, New York Red Bull's Lloyd Sam and Vancouver Whitecaps' Gershon Koffie. The league also boasts of The Timbers' recently signed Ghanaian winger Ishmael Yartey.
