Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has blessed the Kaneshie Circuit of the Methodist Church with 30 bags of Mama Vits Fragrance Rice at the church's premises on Wednesday.

The gesture was to support the church's 54th Synod Accra Dioceses.

George Gyan 'Asaase Jay' Baffour-Mensah, father of the Black Stars captain, who presented the items said, 'This is where my son fellowships anytime he is around, so he sought my counsel and we decided to give to the church.

'It is just a token to support this year's Synod, and I want to say I am proud of my son and his siblings.'

Very Reverend Andrew Mensah, who received the items on behalf of the Bishop, Rt. Rev Titus Awotwi Pratt, expressed appreciation to the donors for the items saying, 'Not everybody remembers the church in times like this. It is good he has remembered us, we will continue to bear him up in prayer as well.'

The donation was one of the many philanthropic activities embarked upon by the Asamoah Gyan Foundation.
