20.04.2015 LISTEN

Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe believes that Accra Hearts of Oak can go for the ultimate as they compete in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Hearts of Oak have had an impressive run to the start of the continental competition, going 5 games without a defeat, winning four and drawing one which is their all-time best in their first 5 games in Africa inter-club competitions.

The former GFA boss, who is a member of the club's board, has confidence in the team that they can really win the trophy for the second time.

'I want the Hearts players to focus on winning the Confederations Cup, because that is the reason why we are competing.'

Despite, the 'Continental Club Masters' splendid form in continental football, they are putting up abysmal performance on the domestic scene, lying 9th on the league log and Nyaho Tamakloe speaking on that appealed to the supporters of the club to exercise patience with the team.

'The fans should be patient with the boys, because some of them are young, so they are in the process of developing.

'At the end they can end up being like Ablade Kumah, Shamo Quaye, Yaw Preko during the Musical Youth days of Hearts of Oak and ended up becoming top-notch players.'

Hearts of Oak edged their bitterest rivals, Asante Kotoko to win the maiden edition of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2004, but the final was played in January 2005 due to the 2004 general elections in Ghana.
