Rabiu Mohammed has struggled for games in Ghana shirt

Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed believes he can improve as a footballer under coach Avram Grant despite his limited first team opportunities with the Black Stars.

The Russia-based tackler has struggled for regular games with the Black Star since the appointment of the former Chelsea boss.

Rabiu dropped to Ghana's bench after the opening group defeat to Senegal at the 2015 AFCON and has since struggled for a starting place at international level.

The 25-year-old however remains confident he can improve under the Israeli trainer.

“Why not, Avram Grant is a great coach with a lot of experience and I believe he will be able to help me and the other players,” the Kuban Krasnodar man said.

Rabiu has been a regular for the Black Stars since impressing at the 2013 AFCON.

He was an integral member for the side during the reign of coach Kwesi Appiah.

The former Evian TG man has however since lost his shine and is struggling to get back into the side nowadays.
