Richard Ofori: Academica defender returns to action after three-month injury layoff
Portugal-based Ghanaian defender Richard Ofori returned to action on Friday night after a ten-week injury layoff by playing in Academica's 0-0 with Rio Ave.
The 21-year-old left back played the last ten minutes of the match at the Estadio EFAPEL when he replaced Fernando Alexandre.
Ofori was a starter for Academica until he got injured against FC Porto on 28 January, 2015 in the 4-1 away defeat.
The former Ghana U20 player says he feels better and is ready to go again.
“I'm feeling very good now with no pain and ready to continue my job for Academica,” the former Tudu Mighty Jets player told GHANASoccernet.com
“It's good to be back on the pitch after a long time out, football is my life I enjoy playing and I thank God for my comeback.”
Ofori has made 14 appearances for Academica in the Primeira Liga.
