Former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingston has recorded his second successive clean sheet as he helped Great Olympics defeat Wa Allstars by a lone goal at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

After a barren first half, Doetse Agbashie scored his fourth goal of the season to lift the “Wonder club” to fifth and level on points with fourth placed WAFA.

The game started with strong challenges from both sides with Wa All Stars' Richard Akrofi receiving the first yellow card of the day in the first minute.

Subsequently, both sides received cards as Nicholas Mensah and Olympics' Ofoe Ofotsu all went in the referee's books before the end of the first half.

Coach Yaw Acheampong's 46th minute introduction of Daniel Appiah into the game to replace Owusu Sefa proved vital for Olympics as he played a crucial role in the build up to the only goal of the match.

And despite throwing in all his cards, Coach Jimmy Korblah's side failed to find the equalizer as the defeat sees them slip to 7th on the league log.

Seven other games will be played on Sunday to end the Match day 12 round of matches in the First Capital Premier League.
