Accra, July 28, GNA - The Greater Accra Women's Soccer Committee (GAWSOC) has pushed their annual one-day gala to Saturday August 14. The severally postponed gala, which will herald this year's women's league season, has been slated for the El-Wak Park. Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that the frequent postponement was as a resulted of severe constraints facing the association.
Meanwhile, all participating clubs have been asked to complete negotiations on all their new players before the scheduled date to avoid any inconvenience.
The GAWSOC official who spoke with the GNA Sports, requested all clubs to endeavour to fulfil all the requisite requirements well in advance to enable them participate in the gala and league matches respectively.
Dansoman Ladies, Tesano Ladies, Ghatel Ladies (Accra), Great Mawuena Ladies, La Ladies, Tema Manhean Ladies, Ashiaman Ladies, Nungua Ladies and Post Ladies are the participating teams.
It will be recalled that the association cited their idea of offering coach John Eshun the needed support in the Black Queens African Women Championship qualifier against Guinea last Saturday as the basis for the first postponement.
