Accra, July 27, GNA - The National Under -17 team, the Black Starlets will return on Wednesday, July 28, from Gambia after participating in an "International Peace Match".
The competition was a special anniversary tournament that formed part of activities to mark 10 years of development under the leadership of the Gambian President, Yahya Jammeh.
The 25-man contingent, which includes 18 players and seven players even though arrived arrived at the latter parts of the tournament, managed to win two matches against Mali and Liberia.
The tournament also formed part of the Starlets preparation towards their qualifying match against Tunisia in November.
The team is expected to move into another phase of their preparation by the close of the week.
