Cape Coast July 27, GNA - Knight House lifted the late Lawton Ackah-Yensu Memorial Cup when they beat Ebiradze House 2-1 in the finals of the Adisadel College Inter-Houses soccer competition held at the school's sports grounds on Monday.
The late Ackah-Yensu, a former student of the College and twice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) donated the cup to the school to be competed for annually.
The family of the late Ackah-Yensu attended the ceremony and donated 10 crates of soft drinks and five footballs to the Houses. Knight House took control of the game from the blast of the whistle and scored two rapid goals through midfielder, Salia Seidu and outside right Anwal- Sadat before half time.
Ebiradze House resumed the second half in an effort to redeem their image and their sustained onslaught helped them to redeem a goal through centre forward John Jabez in the 89th minute.
