Mankessim (C/R) July 27, GNA - Schalke 04, a Division One League (DOL) club on Sunday whipped Mankessim Mir Academy 3-1 in a friendly football match played at Mankessim.
Right from the start, Schalke 04 took absolute control of the game and netted two quick goals through midfielder John Dadzie in 10th and 13th minutes.
Mir Academy, however, forced the tide in their favour and reduced the tally to 2-1 through Edmond Mensah before half time. The hopes of Mir to draw level with Schalke 04 were scuttled when Thomas Amissah over lapped on the right flank and increased the tally to 3-1 in the 79th minute.
Though Mir staged a late rally to score, they found the defensive formation of Schalke too strong to crack till the end of the match.
