Cape Coast, July 26, GNA - Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs on Sunday held wonder club, Accra Great Olympics to a pulsating 1-1 draw in a friendly football match at the Cape Coast sports stadium.

The match formed part of the preparations initiated by Dwarfs towards the Division One league scheduled for August 7 and result6ed in their identying some loop holes in the team.

While the forwards were sluggish, their passes were also faulty while the midfield failed to hold its own.

Great Olympics capitalised on the weakness of the team and dictated the pace for the greater part of the game but over elaboration denied them of an early goal.

The match kicked off under the instruction of class one referee, Joshua Mensah, and it was Olympics who attacked first but Dwarfs quickly repulsed the attack and counter attacked and opened the scoring through inside left, Mathias Deheer in the ninth minute.

Dwarfs top striker, Nana Kwei after collecting a midfield pass laid a neat pass to Deheer to score the opening goal.

Olympics returned the attack and their forwards, made up Michael Ocansey, Kwesi Bonsu, J. B Danquah and Joseph Tagoe brought pressure on Dwarfs.

They kept the defence of Dwarfs very busy with pleasing man-to-man passes but they had to wait until the 44th minute before left half back Kobena Dadzie levelled up matters with a long range shot. Olympics outclassed Dwarfs in the second half with their forwards raiding their vital area for a considerable length of time but the defence of Dwarfs worked overtime to save the situation till the end of proceedings.
