REVEALED: QPR failed in Andre Ayew bid
English side QPR were rebuffed in a bid to sign Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew on the Winter transfer deadline day, allsports.com.gh can exclusively reveal.
The 25-year-old Ghana deputy captain is out of contract in the summer, meaning he will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a team having failed to sign a new deal with Marseille.
With 53 goals and 19 assists in 181 games for the Ligue 1 side, Ayew has attracted plenty of interest, with QPR, Hull City, Everton and Tottenham reportedly eyeing a cut-price move to sign him this Summer.
However, QPR, known for their deadline day antics, failed to convince the Black Stars playmaker to join the Loftus Road side.
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor also turned down the chance to move to QPR on loan.
