After putting up a spirited performance against National sk of Germany in the knockout stage of the zone B boys under 19 of the Dana cup in Denmark, everyone was expecting that the Ghanaians will push the magic forward in their semi final game but this was not to be as they lost by 6-2 to Konnerrud IL from what looks like confusion in the team's camp.
Some of the players I talked to here in Denmark, but will like to remain anonymous, complained of bad officiating and weather condition as the main cause for the defeat.
Though, the team played with eight players, their performance was not a disgrace to Ghana football as supporters from other countries routed for the Ghanaians till the final whistle. Some of the players who excelled in the tournament are Douglas Adomako, David Onyina, John Afreh, Razak Yakubu, Atika Richard and Willie Brown.
