Out of sort Hearts of Oak attacker, Bernard Dong Bortey was not included in the ninety-man playing squad that left Accra Thursday to Dakar for the second leg Confederation Cup game against AS Douanes.

Bortey according to JoySports investigations was fired from camp by tough coach, Ernst Middendorp for acts of insubordination.

The player who has experienced a drastic dip in form has been struggling to make it into the starting line up of Ernst Middendorp since the German's arrival in February to handle the Accra-based side.

This is the second time the former influential player in the Hearts of Oak set up has been hit hard by the coach over acts of indiscipline.

Bortey was also expelled by national coach, Mariano Barreto from the Olympic squad the Black Meteors for preferring to go for a trial to national duties.

The Hearts of Oak player has since not been called by Mariano Barreto into the Olympic team currently preparing in Lisbon for the Athens Olympic games.

Bortey, who has seen his career dwindle since helping the phobians annex the 2000 and 2001 African Champions league and Super Cup, is presently been saddled with a alleged theft case during a trial exercise with Israeli club, Maccabi Tel Aviv.
