Polo Bows Out From Great Olympics Job

Coach Mohammed Polo has called it quits from Accra Great Olympics after just three months on the job.

Polo who had previously threatened to quit the job says it's for real this time.

The former Black Stars player says his players are not serious about playing football and have a lackadaisical attitude to training.

Polo failed to win any of the three matches in the premier league drawing one and losing two.

He held out hope that things would change but Polo says he couldn't continue.

Polo threatened to resign from the coaching job he took up in sometime in March this year following intense criticism from supporters after Olympics' 1-1 draw in their first league game against new entrants, Real Sportive.

But instead, he has decided to stay on and conduct a house-cleaning exercise and recommended that some old players of his club be put on transfer.

“This is what we have to do because they are not serious. They have being there for a very long time and there is no change. Those who are old in Olympics cannot set good examples for the younger ones, we've to let them go and keep the new ones and then we can see what to do”, the former Olympics coach said.

However Mohammed Polo who had planned to get rid of some old players of the club to protect the interest of the club in their league campaign has failed an instead bowed out.
