George is continuing his long road to recovery after suffering a sickening lower-leg break during Team USA's FIBA Basketball World Cup training camp in Las Vegas on August 1.

The 24-year-old is expected to miss the entire 2014-15 NBA season, with Pacers coach Frank Vogel claiming a return this campaign is "very unlikely".

But Hibbert - who was cleared of a knee injury last week - has been buoyed by George's rehabilitation.

"He's been good. He's been shooting, running in the pool, he's coming along, and I'm very optimistic," Hibbert said, as reported by the Boston Globe.

"It's great having him around. He's working really hard. His upper body is a lot bigger. He's almost looking like LeBron [James]."

The Pacers have struggled in the absence of George and Lance Stephenson, who departed for the Charlotte Hornets at the end of last season, winning just one of their opening seven games.
