The Ghana Football Association has invited 18 foreign-based players and 11 of their local counterparts for camping in their preparation towards the World Cup qualifying match against South Africa in Kumasi on June 20. The foreign - based players are made up of Skipper Stephen Appiah of Juventus, Asamoah Gyan - Udinese, Augustine Ahinful - Turkey, Bismark Ekye - Fiorentina, Emmanuel Dua - Gil Vicente, Emmanuel Osei - Turkey, Emmanuel Pappoe - Israel, Ibrahim Tanko - Friburg and Isaac Boakye - Germany. The rest are John Mensah - Modena, Kofi Amponsah - AEK, Lawrence Aidoo - Nuremberg, Michael Essien - Lyon, Osei Kuffour - Bayern Munich, Richad Kingston - Turkey, Sulley Muntari Ali - Udinese, Yakubu Abubakar - Ajax and Kwadjo Poku - Midjtland. The Local components are made up of six players from the camp of Accra Hearts of Oak made up of Sammy Adjei, Ablade Morgan, Daniel Coleman, Daniel Quaye, Lawrence Adjei and Amankwa Mireku. Tjose invited from the camp of Kumasi Asante Kotoko are Charles Taylor, Louis Quanioo and William Tiero with Abubakar Yahuza and Hamza Mohammed coming from Kumasi King Faisal. A Press Release issued from the secretariat of the GFA said the aforementioned players are to report for the camping at the Crystal Rose Hotel in Kumasi on 10th June at 12 noon and that the team is expected to start its first training at 4.00 pm on the same day.
