Table Tennis team leaves for Benin on Friday

Accra, June 8, GNA - Three members of the national Table Tennis team, the Golden Loopers will leave Accra on Friday, June 11 for Benin to participate in a one day competition. The competition dubbed "Edemessi Rufin Table Tennis Championship" is in honour of Edemessi Rufin, a former member of the Benin national Table Tennis team.

National champion, Nana Yaw Boateng will lead the team, which includes Eric Ofori Addo and Benjamin Nelson.

Ghana will compete along side other countries like Cote d' Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Gabon, Togo and African champions, Nigeria. A Press Release issued by Mr Hamah Hamid Issakah, Public Relations Officer of the National Sports Council said each country is to be represented by three players with one of them being an Under-15 with one Coach each.
