Tema, May 30, GNA - Kweku Okyere returned 74 net to win the Tema Country Golf Club May Medal competition played at Tema on Saturday. William Yeboah came second with 75 net while Nana Antwi-Boasiako took the third position with 76 net.
In the Ladies event,Florence Etwi-Barimah came first with 77 net with Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong taking the second position with 83 net. About 40 amateur golfers took part in the one-day 18-Hole Medal competition, which was sponsored by the club.
Mr Alex Fiagomey, Captain of Tema Golf Club, called on the members to take active interest in the activities of the club. He said the irrigation works currently being undertaking by the club would be completed soon to make the Course fully playable.
