American National Basketball Association (NBA) star, Chris Bosh has revealed his excitement over the prospect of working with kids in Ghana after arriving to a resounding welcome at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Thursday afternoon.

The Miami Heat forward is delighted to have finally landed in Ghana, a country he confesses an almost desperation to visit.

'Of course it's a great feeling to be here in Ghana. I've heard a much about the country and how nice its people are. So it's a place I very much was interested in coming and I'm already enjoying my time here with this wonderful reception,' Bosh said amid a rapturous welcome led by a traditional dancing troupe.

Bosh who won two NBA championships along with Dwayne Wade and Lebron James as the 'Big 3' with Miami Heat over the past three seasons, is also grateful for the opportunity to personally take part in coaching and training clinics involving young aspiring players drawn from around the best basketball teams in this country.

Along with the local premier basketball tournament, Sprite Ball competition under the tutelage of Yaw Sakyi in collaboration with a NBA Africa team, Bosh's first stop will be the Aviation Social Centre in Accra on Friday before another session at the Adisadel College in the Central Region capital of Cape Coast on Saturday.

'I love to work with kids so I definitely will have a good time teaching and playing basketball with them. I know Africans are very talented and it will be a privilege to help nurture and inspire them to develop their game and get opportunity to play in the NBA,' the former Toronto Raptors superstar said.

'Of course I'd like to stay with Miami Heat and especially together with Lebron James and Dwayne Wade because the three of us have achieved a lot together. But I'm in Ghana now to help kids play basketball and I can't wait to begin,' Bosh told Allsports.com.gh.
