AshantiGold, Feyenoord to honour games on May 30

Accra, May 20, GNA-The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed the first league matches involving AshantiGold and Bofoakwa as well as the one between Feyenoord and Kpando Heart of Lions initially billed for Sunday.

The postponement, according to information made available to the in Portugal.

Feyenoord has ten of their players with the Meteors while three of them are from the camp of AshantiGold.

They are therefore expected to honour their games on Sunday, May 30. AshantiGold was billed to face Bofoakwa at the Sunyani Coronation Park whilst Feyenoord play host to the Lions in Cape Coast.

The two games will be the only local league matches on the day as the country's top four clubs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak, Liberty Professionals and King Faisal will be honouring their respective return-leg encounters in the ongoing Confederation of African Football Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions.

Whilst Kotoko will be the only team playing at home, the two Accra clubs, Hearts and Liberty will be sorting themselves out in Tunisia whilst Alhaji Grusah's King Faisal will be trekking to South Africa to face the might of Santos.
