FA renders public apology for World Cup exit
The Ghana Football Association has issued a public apology for the Black Stars' early exit from Brazil 2014.
Speaking a post-World Cup press conference in Accra on Wednesday, President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi says the performance of the team did not match the expectation.
"Admittedly, the performance of the team fell below the expectation of many Ghanaians," the GFA President said.
"Our inability to qualify to the 2nd Round broke many Ghanaian hearts. We wish to offer our unqualified apologies for the disappointment."
Ghana, making their third appearance exited the competition in the first round after picking one point from a maximum of 9 points in a group which included Germany, Portugal and the United States.
