Refresher Seminar for Referees from Northern Sector

Accra, May 4, GNA - The Ghana Football Association in collaboration with Promasidor, Ghana Limited, manufacturers of Cowbell Milk is organising a two-day seminar for Premier League Referees and Assistant Referees from the Northern Sector.

The 17 invited referees and 32 Assistant Referees have been asked to report at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Friday May 7, 2004 to be checked-in at the Frank David Hotel in Kumasi.

A Press Release signed by General Secretary of the GFA, Mr Kofi Nsiah copied to the GNA Sports urged the Ghana Referees Association (RAG) to inform accordingly inform its members to attend the refresher seminar on the said date.

Mr A.P. Agbovi is to be the Seminar Co-ordinator together with Mr J.K. Boateng, RAG National Instructor, Mr J. Wellington and MrJ.A. Mensah both Instructors and Mr Godsway Glah, General Secretary of RAG are to be the resource persons for the seminar.

The Referees invited from Kumasi are Mike Amedior, Francis Osei-Nsiah, Stephen Oduro, Ali Musah Plato, George Manu, Joe Debrah, G.K. Zorve and Mustapha Mohammed.

From Tamale are Referees Ibrahim Iddrisu and Roger Osabu while those invited from Mampong are Christian Tetteh, Mular Gansah Nyarko and Alhassan Brobbey.

Referees J.K. Quarshie and WO1 James Nkrumah are from Sunyani Osborn Darko from Berekum and Seidu Bommison Jnr from Wa. The Assistant Referees invited from Tamae are made up of Harruna Ayuba, A.S. Seidu, Mumuni Issaka, A.S.S. Malik, Mohammed Awal and Kofi Ayeji and Ibrahim Adams and J.K. Bio from Wa.

From Kumasi are Boadu Ayeboafo, Osei Agyeman E.T. Allotey, E.K. Asante, John Okrah, Akwesi Appiah, George Barlow E.K. Aboagye, S.C. Baidoo Emmanuel Baah and Edward Aidoo.

Those invited from Sunyani are made up of Christopher Abina, Edward Nkrumah, Asoma Amadu, Gyewu Kere, John Dwomoh, E.Batsa and K.S. Asante. Assistant Referees Obeng Manu and Yaw Tannor are from Wenchi with Brefo Takyiakwa and William Boaten coming from Mampong while Stephen Anyomi-Tako comes from Berekum and Tabi Amponsah coming from Obuasi. The Release said Referees Uniforms will be distributed to the participants at the end of the seminar.
