Accra, April 3, GNA Wa All Stars handed Confederations Cup campaigners, Medeama SC, a 2-0 defeat in an outstanding game of the First Capital Plus (FCP) Premier league game at the Wa Stadium on Thursday, April 3.

The defeat seems to have put a brake on the aspirations of the continental campaigners in their search for a Top Four Place at the end of the season.

Though the visitors had a brilliant afternoon in the first half, they failed to extend the form to the second half and conceded all two goals in the half.

It was Michael Mensah who opened the scores in 58th minute, before Paul De Vries Asare sealed victory for the home side in the 78th minute.

Liberty Professionals were however held to a goalless draw game at the Carl Reindorf Park by Berekum Chelsea in another outstanding league game.
