Golfers Return To Action Today

THE ROYAL Golf Club in Kumasi will be the center of attraction today where the March edition of the Ashfoam Monthly Gold Medal is taking place.

Played every month, the one-day competition would see golfers at the Royal Golf Club competing strongly for honours.

As usual, competition would be played in the men's, ladies, seniors, juniors and professionals categories on the day.

Speaking with DAILY GUIDE SPORTS, Martin Poku, captain of the club, said winners would take home attractive prizes from Ashfoam, sponsors of the competition.

Aside the prizes from Ashfoam, he announced that winners of the various categories would also take home trophies.

Mr. Poku said the monthly medal competition is played among other things to help golfers at the club to reduce their handicaps.

He added that the fierce competition is also organized to help sustain and improve the bond of friendship among golfers of the club.

Mr. Poku urged golf enthusiasts in the Garden City to troop to the venue today to make the event grand.
