Accra, April 11, GNA - Coach Bernadino Pedroto, Technical Director of AS Aviacao has said his side still has the chance of making it to the next stage of the CAF Champions league, since the competition is a two-leg affair.

"Though it is going to be a difficult task, this is football and anything can happen, therefore we are going to do our home work well for the second leg".

Speaking to the GNA Sports in a post match interview after his side had lost 4-1 to Accra Hearts of Oak in the first leg of the CAF Champions League at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday, coach Pedroto said the defeat was as a result of the porous defence of his team.

Coach Pedroto said his players committed too many mistakes in the match especially in defence, despite starting each half on a very good note. He explained that even though his players played well in both halves they unfortunately lost focus in the course of the match.

Coach Pedroto added that it were these lapses what Hearts capitalised on to convert the chances that came their way.

The coach conceded that Hearts is a good side and it will take so much effort on the part of his team to beat them in the second half in order to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

Coach Pedroto who on some occasions during the match seemed unhappy with some decisions of the Gambian referee declined to comment about the refereeing after the match.

He however said, "The Ghanaian sporting public must judge for themselves, whether the referee performed well or not". He stated.
